My roommate, Reetu, moved all my stuff out of the room into my friend, Almaz's room. and then moved our friend, Liz, in and when I came back from doing a project there was a new sign on the door and all of my stuff was gone. I was in shock and didn't react well to the new surroundings, Now I look back and laugh though.

i suppose the difficult thing about youth ministry is that once you get a good groove going, then they graduate out and in, and you have a totally new group of kids, and must start all over again and revamp everything. And as culture changes, so changes the youth, and so changes the way to minister to them. i think the picture is appropriate for this idea of breaking thru. youth ministers are planting seeds for trees that they may never enjoy the shade! later...

In the famous words of those AA meetings "HI Brooke"
(not that i would know what they say in those meetings, no really i don't :) )

Whew, i thought i had problems... i suggest this to you guys.

1. We admitted we were powerless over coke/diet coke—that our lives had become unmanageable.

2. Came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.

3. Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understood Him.

4. Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves.

5. Admitted to God, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.

6. Were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character.

7. Humbly asked Him to remove our shortcomings.

8. Made a list of all persons we had harmed, and became willing to make amends to them all. (Joan you have harmed me with your diet coke obsession, especially during those hot flashes)

9. Made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.

10. Continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it.

11. Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God as we understood Him, praying only for knowledge of His Will for us and the power to carry that out.

12. Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to cokecolaholics, and to practice these principles in all our affairs.

Well Todd, let me give you my top ten reasons why I won't join you on this endeavor:

10. Your problem is you're drinking regular Coke, whereas I stick to the healthier choice of "Diet Coke".

9. You're a male and I'm a female. Caffeine = hormone balance

8. My productivity for all your last minute assignments would decline.

7. Morning carbonation helps digestion throughout the day. Whereas with you, it may cause gas.

6. I don't drink coffee.

5. I need to drink cold beverages as warm beverages may cause hot flashes and irritability - something I know you don't want to see.

4. Diet Coke relieves all the headaches you cause me throughout the day.

3. Everyone has a crutch, my is inexpensive and gives me energy.

2. Diet Coke makes me look cool...all my friends are doing it.

1. Diet Coke Plus offers all the minerals and vitamins I need to keep me healthy and at work.

Todd,
I would recommend switching to Mountain Dew since it has orange juice in it. No really, read the ingredients!
